Hub requirements
If you and others in your community can’t make it to Sydney, get together locally and organise a hub. Big or small, bringing your community together at a remote hub will help you make the most of the 6th March.
VENUE |
You will need to find a venue for Wednesday March 6th with decent internet and space to run a facilitated session. If you operate for the whole day, the talks and sessions will go from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. |
---|---|
CATERING |
Organise some lunch and consider morning and afternoon tea. |
PROMOTION |
We will promote your remote hub on the Congress website and you should also do so through all your local channels. We encourage you to give us your details asap rather than waiting for full details to fall into place. We will update the website whenever your information changes. |
PROGRAM |
The Program Overview has been published and the detailed program is coming soon! Each session will have plenty of opportunities for questions and you will be part of that via a Q&A app. |
March 6th will have four sessions: | |
10 AM | COMMUNITY ENERGY ICONS Hear from community energy icons about the journey of transforming communities. What can we learn to speed up our own journeys? |
12 PM | AUSTRALIA’S ENERGY FUTURE Keynote Session with Saul Griffith – Four visionaries, Four different visions. Where we’re going, what we need to do, how we can ensure success. |
2 PM | CREATING A COMMUNITY RENEWABLE VISION This is a facilitated session and will be used to gather evidence of how we all create change together. |
2 PM | FINANCE AND PARTNERSHIPS Pace relates to resources. Hear about sources of finance and support that successful community energy projects have leveraged. |
