The Congress is back! We’ve partnered with the Smart Energy Council to deliver the Congress alongside the Smart Energy Expo. We believe this collaboration will further elevate the event’s impact and reach. The Congress will be held in Sydney at the International Convention Centre on the 6-7th of March 2024, with the theme, “Fast, Fair, and Vital.”

The Congress are to inspire and support energy changemakers in communities, industry, councils and governments to create future energy systems where everyone can participate and benefit. They bring people together, to energise everyone in the transition to a renewable energy system based on justice and resilience. The Congress were held every three years, but as the sector grows we will be looking at diverse ways to bring everyone together more regularly.

In 2014 we brought together 350 supporters to the inaugural congress in Canberra.

At the 2017 Congress in Melbourne there were 620 people, received 150 media hits and involved 40 side events.
