Countries across the world have pledged to meet net-zero emissions by 2050 and energy will play a key role in meeting this target. There has been a lot of focus on how corporations and states cut emissions and grow renewables, but often community action is left out of the picture.

In Australia,  several initiatives are demonstrating the central role communities can play in transitioning energy and decarbonising our lives. The challenge that we face now is building that capacity across the country, for a just and timely transition that meets community needs and aspirations.

To address this challenge the Coalition for Community Energy will be hosting a national advocacy webinar, taking a deep dive into the policy and campaigns fighting for community energy.
